This Privacy Policy explains how Search Lift (“Search Lift”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit thesearchlift.com (the “Site”), fill in one of its forms, or contact us.

Who we are. Search Lift is an SEO and AI search visibility service founded by Usama Ali and based in Rahim Yar Khan, Pakistan. We work with clients in many countries. For any privacy question or request, email hello@thesearchlift.com.

• Search Gap check (/search-gap): your website address, business name, industry, location or service area, main service or product, email address, and anything you write in the notes field.
• Contact form (/contact): your name, email address, company, the plan or service you are interested in, and your message.
• Email sign-up (the “Subscribe” box in the homepage footer): your email address.
• Messages you send us by email or social media, and anything you choose to include in them.

Please don’t send us other people’s personal information without their permission.

• With each form submission we record your IP address, your browser’s user-agent string and the date and time. For the sign-up form we also record the page you signed up from. We use these to spot spam and abuse and to limit repeated submissions.
• Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider’s servers keep standard technical logs of requests, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time.

No analytics or tracking. The Site does not use analytics tools, advertising pixels, chat widgets or embedded social media plugins. Its fonts, images, styles and scripts are served from our own server. Our Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn icons are plain links: nothing is sent to those platforms unless you click one, and then that platform’s own privacy policy applies.

The Site sets one cookie: a session cookie named PHPSESSID. It is set when you open a page with a form (the homepage, /contact and /search-gap). It holds a security token that protects the forms against forged submissions and lets us show you a confirmation after you submit. It is strictly necessary for the forms, is not used for tracking or advertising, and expires when you close your browser.

• to reply to your enquiry and prepare the Search Gap review you asked for;
• to send the email updates you signed up for, if you used the sign-up form;
• to provide and bill for services you buy from us, and keep records of our communications;
• to keep the Site secure and filter spam and abuse;
• to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising. We only add you to our email list if you sign up through the sign-up form, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on: steps you asked us to take (answering your enquiry), performing a contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and securing our business, your consent for the email sign-up (which you can withdraw at any time), and our legal obligations.

• Storage. Form submissions are saved in a private data folder on our web server. The folder is outside the public part of the Site and blocked from web access. Only Search Lift can see them.
• Email. When you submit a form, the Site emails your details to our inbox (hello@thesearchlift.com) through our email provider and keeps a copy of that notification in the same private folder. Our replies to you also go through our email provider.
• Hosting. The Site, the stored submissions and the server logs are hosted by Hostinger.

We share personal information with these providers only so they can run the Site and our email, and only as much as they need. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business.

We are based in Pakistan, and our hosting and email providers may store or process information in other countries. Your information may therefore be handled outside the country you live in. We use established providers and share only what they need.

We keep your information only as long as we need it to answer your enquiry or deliver the service you bought, plus any records the law requires us to keep. Email sign-up addresses stay on our list until you unsubscribe. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.

The Site uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Submissions are kept outside the public web folder, our admin area is password-protected, and the forms use security tokens and spam checks. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete your information;
• stop emailing you.

Email hello@thesearchlift.com. We answer within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

The Site and our services are for businesses and are not directed at anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy when the Site or our practices change. The new version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
